Four kinds of content

Product media gets confusing when different levels of evidence are blended together. Purple Mangos separates four categories: research, demonstration, review, and advertisement.

  • Research summarizes sourced facts and clearly attributes them
  • Demonstration shows a real product performing a visible action
  • Review includes genuine hands-on use and the reviewer’s experience
  • Advertisement is paid or commission-linked persuasion and is labeled accordingly

What AI may illustrate

AI-generated scenes may communicate a mood, visualize an abstract ingredient story, prototype an angle, or create motion design. Those scenes will be labeled when a reasonable viewer could mistake them for a real demonstration.

AI will not generate a fake testimonial, fake expert, fake customer, fake before-and-after, or fake hands-on result. If the product behavior matters, the evidence must come from the real product.

How recommendations will work

A researched guide can help someone build a shortlist without claiming personal use. A hands-on review can discuss experience, but it still cannot predict another person’s outcome. The page label will make the difference clear.

Affiliate relationships do not change the standard. If Purple Mangos may earn a commission, that fact appears before or near the recommendation—not hidden in a footer alone.

Corrections stay visible

When a factual error is material, we will update the piece and add a dated correction note. When a product changes, an old article will not silently describe the new formula as if nothing happened.

Trust is slower to build than a video. That is precisely why it is the asset worth building first.
